Spe., CP is the landing site for what type of syntactic element? Define the notion of trace in this context!

das ist eine von drei Frage, die wir aktuell im Kurs Linguistik beantworten müssen und wo ich einfach nicht weiterkomme. Falls jemand eine direkte Antwort dazu parat hat, wäre ich sehr dankbar.
Bücher habe ich genug, aber ich finde einfach keinen richtigen Zugang.

Bisher habe ich folgendes geschrieben:

Complementizer Phrases (CP) are subordinate sentences with a complementizer and questions.

Movement operations create trace positions. Movements leave behind traces. These trace positions cannot be reoccupied.
In transformational grammar, a trace is an empty category that occupies a position in the syntactic structure. In some theories of syntax, traces are used in the account of constructions such as wh-movement and passive. Traces are important theoretical devices in some approaches to syntax.

Hallo, sorry, dass ich zu spät antworte. Das, was du geschrieben hast, klang schon sehr gut.
Es gibt aber auch die Ansicht, die CP als allgemeines Modell für den normalen Satz anzusehen. Das stammt aus dem Stellungsfeldermodell nach Drach (1937). Dort gibt es das Vorfeld und die linke Satzklammer, die mit der CP assoziiert werden. Der Kopf der Phrase bekommt dann das finite Verb und die Spec-Position bekommt das Subjekt des Satzes.
